A busy three terminal facility, Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is a modern airport serving the Canadian province of British Columbia and boasts around 60 airlines, which provide regional, domestic and international flights. The airport itself is around 13 km / 8 miles south of downtown Vancouver, a popular visitor destination known for its tourist appeal.

Vancouver Airport is also close to the municipalities of Burnaby, Delta and New Westminster and is currently seeing annual passenger figures of nearby 18 million and cargo flights handle some 230,000 tonnes of freight. Public Airporter buses run to Vancouver and surrounding destinations, such as Ladner, Richmond and Surrey, with airport shuttles connecting passengers and nearby reputable hotels. More than 400 taxis provide a more expensive travel option, while for those wanting true luxury, limousines are available on request.
